CHEMICAL PEELS

 

What are chemical peels? Why should we peel?

 

A chemical peel is a form of exfoliation for skin renewal. In most cases, some peeling and flaking may occur.

 

What are the benefits?

How is a peel done?

 

You may be required to apply a treatment product for 2 weeks prior to your first peel. At your first appointment, your skin will be cleansed and prepared. Then the peel solution is applied to the face and left on for several minutes. Treatment times can range between 30 and 60 minutes~depending on skin thickness, age, sensitivity, and use of home care products prior to treatment. Peels can also be added on during a facial.There are several different chemical peels to choose from. We will help you determine which one is best suited for you~based on a thorough evaluation of your skin, lifestyle, and your specific skin care concerns.

 

How do I care for my skin after a peel?

 

Keep skin adequately moisturized both day and night. Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen of at least 15 SPF. Do no pick or peel skin. Stay out of direct sun for two weeks post treatment. Detailed instructions will be given to you at the time of your peel.
